Biography
I am currently a researcher in department of Civil and Environmental engineering and sustainable nanotechnology program at Virginia Tech. I received my PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering and my BSc and MS educations in Chemical Engineering. I am a chemical/environmental engineer with a strong background in nanotechnology and colloid surface science. Broad knowledge and experience in synthesis of nanomaterials and characterization techniques including Induced Couple Plasma Mass Spectroscopy (ICP-MS), Electron spectroscopy (TEM, SEM), Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS), UV-Vis spectroscopy, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA), and X-Ray Powder Diffraction Analysis (XRD). A strong leader and team member backed up by two years of work experience as the head of sales and technical support department in Pilab Environmental Company and five years of scientific research in an interdisciplinary academic research group.
