International Partners:

The CEINT works closely with a consortium of international partners primarily functioning through a "Groupement de Recheche Internationale" (GDRI) headquartered at the European Center for Research and Education in Environmental Geosciences (CEREGE, Aix-en-Provence, France). This GDRI, The International Consortium for the Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology (iCEINT) is funded by the French National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) and French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). Core CEINT institutions make up the US partners for the GDRI. CEINT/GDRI researchers co-advise students, and participate in faculty/researcher exchanges. French partners leading iCEINT include:

  • European Center for Research and Education in Geosciences and the Environment (CEREGE) (Dir : Jean-Yves Bottero):Nanomaterials analysis and ecotoxicity
  • University of Paris VI (Jean-Pierre Jolivet)
  • CEA labs:
LIONS Saclay (Dir :J Daillant ): Physico-Chemical characterization in aqueous media.
IBEB Cadarache-Marcoule with the LEMIR (CEA-CNRS) (Dir : Thierry Heulin): Microbiology.
iBiTec-S : Institut de Biologie et Technologies de Saclay (Dir : Michel Riva)
Additional CNRS and CNRS/University members: CNRSLaboratoire NEEL UPR 5051. Grenoble (Dir : Alain Fontaine): Nanomaterials analysis (synchrotron facility). IMFS UMR 7507 Strasbourg (Dir. Yves. REMOND): Transport modeling in soils
CIRIMAT UMR 5085 Toulouse (Dir : Franois.Maury) : Synthesis of CNT and ecotoxicity
LCMC UMR 7574 Paris (Dir : Cl. Sanchez) : Synthesis of nano-oxides and characterization
ECOLAB UMR 5245 Toulouse (Dir : E Chauvet) : Environmental eco and genotoxicity
iBiTec-S : Institut de Biologie et Technologies de Saclay (Dir : M. Riva) : Environmental eco and genotoxicity

International partners in CEINT also include efforts funded under the European Framework 7 effort. CEINT collaborates with researchers working on the Engineered Nanoparticles Risk Assessment (ENPRA) effort headquartered at the Institute for Occupational Medicine.
